the south. I'll be joining the majority of the members of the food
security team, who are all headed to Moyale for project review
meetings early next week. I'll combine this trip with interviews to
be turned into case studies for the reports I'm writing. From Moyale,
a smaller group will travel to Negele Borana, for more site visits and
case studies. This is it, the culmination of my summer, such as it
is, and I hope I'm prepared to gather all the stories and information
I (and others) intend. I'm also looking forward to a return to
Moyale, the Italian guesthouse, the shiro hut across the street, and
the lovely sub-office staff from last year.
Tonight I'm taking the night off to pack my bag, hang out with my
roomie, cook the beets I excitedly bought at the supermarket last
weekend, and surely to watch the West Wing (I jumped backwards from
Season 7 to Season 2). And to consider setting a couple of mouse
traps. There's been "evidence" of a visitor for the last few weeks.
The only trouble it's causing, however, is the nightly consumption of
half a banana, and I'm not sure that justifies death by snap trap.
Trip report to come in two weeks!
Ciao ciao...
